Enrolments at Tannum Sands State High School are only accepted following an interview with the student and their parents by a member of the administration team.
Enrolment forms must be returned in hard copy, preferably in person so an enrolment interview can be arranged and verification documents sighted.
Enrolment management plan
Tannum Sands State High School is an enrolment-managed school.
This means that students will have to live in Tannum Sands State High School catchment area to be able to enrol in our school unless we have positions available.
There are two different catchment maps, one for Year 7–10 and a second for Year 11-12 (with an extended southern boundary to include Bororen State School and Miriam Vale State School).
If you live in our catchment area, you are guaranteed enrolment. From now, if you live outside of the school catchment and are enrolling, you will have to complete the out of catchment expression of interest form for entry and some may wish to also apply for a place in our two Excellence Programs:
- Boyne Smelter Limited (BSL) / Zenith; and/or
- Instrumental Music
Younger siblings of currently enrolled students are also guaranteed enrolment places in future years. You can enter your address at the EdMap website and check if you reside in the catchment area. Proof of residential address is still required.
If you have any questions about the Enrolment management plan, please contact the school.
