Welcome to our P&C!
The Tannum Sands State High School Parents and Citizens' Association (P&C) is a welcoming group of parents, carers and community members working together to support our school and help create positive futures for every student.
Our vision is a connected and engaged school community where every student is supported to thrive. In partnership with the Principal, school staff, parents/carers and students, the P&C works to support educational opportunities, encourage meaningful community engagement, and contribute positively to the continued growth and success of the school.
We are committed to representing the voices of parents and carers, fostering respectful collaboration, and strengthening connections across the school community. Guided by our values of inclusivity, transparency and constructive contribution, we aim to create a positive environment where all members of our school community feel welcomed, heard and encouraged to participate.
The P&C provides an opportunity for parents and carers to stay informed, contribute ideas, and support initiatives that enhance student wellbeing, learning and school culture. At each monthly meeting, the Principal provides a report and updates on school matters, creating an open forum for communication and collaboration.
All parents/carers and community members are welcome to become involved in the P&C. Whether you can contribute regularly or occasionally, every contribution is valued and appreciated.
Our P&C Association is also a member of P&Cs Qld, the peak body supporting Parents and Citizens' Associations across Queensland state schools. (P&C's Qld link- https://www.pandcsqld.com.au)
Our P&C generally meets on the second Thursday of each month during school term at 6:30pm in HE11 (Home Economics Block).
