Sign up now for 2027 to avoid start of year delays.
Please note: If you are a current student still using the same device that was serviced by techies in late 2026, you most likely will NOT need to bring the device in, unless of course there have an issue with it.
After your BYOx sign up, we will email you IF the device needs to come in for service.
BYOx 2027 Setup will start from Week 4 of Term 4. We highly recommend signing up before this to arrange setup if needed before 2027.
Please note: Students school Internet \ Printer access may be removed at the end of January 2027, if we have not received a signup for BYOx or one of our school supplied laptop programs.
Essential Homework before bringing in
The student must be signed up to the BYOx program.
The students' device logon, must be setup with the students personal email account (not the school email account nor the parents email account).
The device must be fully charged before bringing in. We do not accept chargers.
Windows Laptop

The laptop must be setup with:
- Students personal logon \ email account (do not use parents account)
- Windows 11 Home or Pro (not Windows S mode (run winver to check)
- Administration privileges on students account (run netplwiz to check)
- Searching for updates, install, follow prompts. Shutdown when updates all completed.
Macbook laptop
The Macbook must be setup with:
- Latest Mac OSX available on your device - must be at least version 14
- Student personal Apple \ iTunes account
- Admininistration privilages on students account (not parents email account)
- Installation of Microsoft Office under school email account (goto webmail.eq.edu.au in Safari)
- Installation of Google Chrome for faster School Internet
- Latest application updates
iPad tablet
With the iPad please:
- Pair the keyboard
- Update to the latest Mac OS
- Install the latest application updates
- Install Goodreader (approx $10), InTune Company Portal, Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, Teams (under personal iTunes account)
- Install Google Chrome for faster School Internet
Please note: As the students personal account will need to be used for setup, we will need to return the device to you for privacy reasons if the above homework has not been completed before bringing in.
